Stand and Deliver Watercolours

An original watercolour painting of a stunning black horse.
Using board has allowed me to create an interactive and contemporary work freed from the constraints of paper and frame.
The use of pixalation allows the creation of an image that explores pure and amazing colours together with an element of distortion that entices the eye to dance over the painting creating an element of movement that is different from every angle and in differnt light for each individual who views the painting.
Stand and Deliver has approximately 4500 half centimetre squares that took three weeks to complete and is painted on a cradled Ampersand Aquabord that has been varnished three times allowing for immediate hanging.
