Description
A row of poplar trees lines one of the fishing ponds at Lavacourt in this black and white widescreen view in the ile-de-france north west of Paris. The church at Vétheuil on the opposite bank of the River Seine caught my attention by peeping through a gap in the avenue of poplar trees. This was a location that was used as a subject many times by Claude Monet and his impressionist colleagues along Seine Valley.
