Road to Polednik Oil

Here's my plein air, impressionist, landscape oil painting I made while on holiday traveling and hiking in the National Park Sumava, in Czech Republic.

Painting is made on primed MDF board 15x20 cm (approx. 6x18 inches) primed with 3 layers of high quality gesso and 1 layer of GOLDEN GAC 100 primer to prevent sinking of colour over the time, where pigment would otherwise loose the crisp look due to loss of oils contained in the paint. That will ensure the bright and fresh appearance of oil paint over the long period of time.

All my paintings are always treated with thin layer of protective varnish after they dry. The artwork is signed and sold unframed.
