Orchid Oil

Orchid is a little painting created recently as part of Strada Easel Challenge of painting every day.
The painting is based on observation from life. The artist was concentrating on the beautiful, rich colours as well as the elegant shape of the blooming plant. To make the painting more dynamic the artist decided to bring the same colours of the petals to the surrounding with extrusive splashes of paint. This lightens the painting as well as bring almost magical feel to it.
