Description
View From the Road by Kyle of Lochalsh, Highlands, Scotland is an original drawing.
The sky is calm and bright, and on the horizon, the landscape is vanishing in a fading mist. In front, you see two islands, and to the left and below, lots of fresh green May vegetation, trees and bushes mixed with blossoming rhododendrons.
The waters of the loch are reflecting the calm sky in barely recognisable pinks and turquoises. In the lower right corner, the translucent water slightly exposes the shallow seabed.
Materials: illustration board, Artists' quality, colour pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, Derwent Lightfast Pencils, varnish for drawings by Winsor & Newton
Style: realism influenced by impressionism
Size: 35 x 25 x 0.2 cm, the artwork itself is 32.5 x 22.8 cm; this leads to a clean margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat
This artwork is not framed.
The 2nd image shows you how the drawing can look in a frame and hanging on a wall.
