Florescence Acrylic

‘Florescence’ is a busy and fresh floral study, taking a flower bouquet and recreating it in almost deconstructed manner. The busyness means there isn’t a focal point, it is more of a pattern with pops of cheerful colour.
The deep blue and green background creates a rich base for those lovely, summery colours to sit on.
This painting is part of the ‘Happiness Blooms from within’ collection, from 2023. This collection started with my love for bold colour and expressive brushstrokes. As well as, my fascination with the happiness we gain from being in amongst nature.
The collection started when I wanted to begin a new body of work, having just left my job to persue my art. While I enjoy painting different subjects, I’m intrigued by floral studies, where I can add my own twist, as I think they are relatable and will always bring a happiness to the viewer.
*This painting is on a deep edge canvas, measuring 0.75”, which can either be hung as is or framed. The painting has been finished with varnish to protect from UV damage.
