Description
Painted during Covid-19 lockdown. Remembering a Spring of some years ago. A lane on the edge of St Helens Woods, Hastings, East Sussex.
Please note that the rear bottom side of the frame has slight damage to the wood. This damage occurred during manufacture by a professional frame making company and was not noticed by me until I came to fix the painting into the frame. The frame is not weakened in any way, the damage is purely cosmetic, only being visible if the painting is hung back to front. Nevertheless, I have reduced the selling price by £30 which is slightly more than the cost of the frame from the manufacturer. I trust that this act of good faith is appreciated by prospective buyers. I will be having strong words with the frame maker though. The photo of the back of the frame shows the blemish.
Painted in soft pastels on Clairefontaine Pastelmat (Sand).
In a wooden frame (walnut and gold stain) with 2mm acrylic glazing, and fixings attached. Ready to hang.
The image size is 11 inches X 8 inches.
The framed size is 17 inches X 14 inches.
