Sleep Series - Sea Mixed Media

Mixed media glass art fusing abstract and figurative imagery.
Vitrail paint is first mono printed onto the underside of a glass pane with photo collages then added beneath and mounted on wood board. The series was inspired by the process of falling into sleep, as thoughts become more abstract and indistinct and we fall into the dream space that is arguably more authentic than the ‘real’ world.

Note: if you need to clean the surface for any reason it’s important to not to use surface cleaner as it will take the shine off the paint. If you do need to clean it just give it a quick wipe with white spirit or paint thinner.
