Description
I have always admired Gerhard Richter and his use of squeegy and palette knife to apply the oils to the canvas ,rather than a brush .By applying layers of oils and scraping back and applying further layers of oils you can achieve some interesting effects. The squeegy will pick up paint from one part of the canvas and redistribute it to another almost in a random and accidental way .The overall effect is a vibrant colourful image with different shapes ,forms and colour combinations.
