Description
An original watercolour painting in portrait format, on Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolour paper 140lbs.
Solid geometric blocks of pane's grey colour move up from large to small, on either side of the picture. Up to a certain point, it gives an impression of steps moving upwards.
Wether that is due to the contrasting black and white or the blocks reducing in size.
At the top, Ra, the Egyptian sun god, is balancing the aforementioned star on it's nut!
Very often Ra was depicted on Egyptian hieroglyphics, with the head of a falcon. It also, on occasions, took on the look of a crocodile or hippo.
A different looking watercolour picture that could grace the wall behind a sofa, or in the office.
It would be appreciated if You could give me your thoughts on this picture.
