Meadow Wild Flowers Drawing

This charming drawing of meadow flowers has been created with a 3D pen and TPU flexible filament which is a rubber-like resin. Working with a 3D pen is literally drawing with plastic.

The artwork was inspired by the abundance of wild flowers in the meadows near my home and features poppy, harebell, field scabious and oxeye daisy.

The filament is heated inside the pen and is discharged in a melted state so the lines and loops drawn stick together and cool forming the "lace" artwork. TPU filament is extremely strong and durable despite the delicate appearance.

The lace drawing hangs beautifully from a wooden dowel.

As you can see from the video and the photos, these 3D pen drawings look best against a plain, light coloured wall due to their open, lacy nature.
