Tree Grows on Stones Drawing

A realistic drawing, Tree Grows on Stones, is an original artwork showing a tree from the Highlands, Scotland. It is one of my original coloured pencil drawings for sale.

It depicts a tree growing on a massive stone in a serene but windy Scottish landscape where the skies are blue with a few whitish clouds on the horizon. The grassy hills are green, some bluish in the shade and some yellowish in full sunlight.

Materials: Sanded heavy paper, grade 800 from Uart, Artists' quality, coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell and Derwent's Studio Pencils, and to protect the artwork varnish for drawings

Style: realism influenced by impressionism

Size: 30.5 x 22.85 x 0.1 cm; the artwork itself is 29 x 21 cm; this leads to a white margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat

The drawing is not mounted and not framed.
