Pretty In Pink Acrylic

This wonderful weed is called Queen Annes Lace or Cow parsley and can often be seen in fields and on roadsides in the Uk. There is a poise and elegance to her , as she towers above the grass. I used a limited palette and layers of paint to create this soft pastoral scene . This use of colour is similar to "Dandys at Dusk" and "wonderful Weeds" which were painted as a series in honour of our need for weeds .
