Liberty Alison Mixed Media

‘Liberty Alison’ is one of my favourite artworks. On my first ever visit to an art auction on a mediterranean cruise, artist Peter Max’s ‘Statue of Liberty’ caught my eye and I totally loved his work from that point (I bought my first Peter Max original that day!).

This artwork was my first larger sized piece where I started using rollers to create my acrylic paint backgrounds. You can see I opted for an USA colour palette which shows the true spirit of the artwork. The pen lines I used are very fine and delicate on this artwork. Such a significant landmark is the ‘Statue of Liberty’! I had also just visited the 'Vegas' interpretation of this landmark which influenced my artwork.

The artist hand paints her logo to represent a modern finish to her artworks which is consistent throughout her portfolio.
