Bird Get-Together Oil

This is a painting of five birds perching on a branch with another two, one flying in and the other flying off. It is a painting for anyone who likes birds, but also might be something suitable for a nursery or child's room. I love painting birds and I have tried to give each one a personality or a different interest.
I started this painting by laying down the bright bird colours not only in the birds but also in the background. I then painted a neutral background, but allowed flecks of the bright colours to show through.
The piece is framed with a mount, the actual painting is 48cm x 20cm, the mount width is 5.5cm on the sides and 4.5cm top and bottom. The frame is 2cm wide. It is painted on an ABS plastic panel.
This artwork will be shipped in a cardboard box.
