A colourful Lockheed Electra, in the the late 1960s livery of Ansett-ANA, is seen picking up speed, ready for take-off.
These fine turbo-prop airliners served Australia well. All three Australian airlines, Qantas, TAA & Ansett-ANA used them on major city routes. Electras are bigger, faster and more flexible than the Vickers Viscount.
