A sunny plain dotted with lumps of ice, form a panorama of a selection of mega
fauna that once swarmed across Britain +30,000 years ago.
Only a handfull of animal species are in this picture, but it includes, Striped Hyaena, Wholly Rhinoceros and Steppe Bison. During this period in time, it was a lot colder
than today, but it was a lot drier. Contrasting with this image, there was a diverse number of big animals, all mammals. Two types of Lion, Striped & Spotted Hyaenas, wolves, Reindeer, Tarpan (wild horses), Auroch, Steppe Bison and don't forget the Wholly Mammoth and many more.
