Building Blocks Oil

It is endless , the variation of shapes that can be achieved using parallel diagonals with vertical lines.

Shapes emerge and make for fascinating viewing.
Add colour and the whole picture jumps off the canvas.

Oil paints were used sparingly in the first layers.
In subsequent layers, paint was applied with a palette knife, and allowed to hold their colour and not mingle with each other.

The picture is warm and glowing and would look stunning with an open fire within view.
The building blocks of drawing are cubes, spheres and cylinders.
I enjoy the effect when colour is added.

I would hope that the piece would feature as a talking point and arouse curiosity in the viewer.
