Description
I always feel that daffodils have faces and one here is looking straight at the viewer, whereas the other one is not interested in the viewer and looking off to the side.
I don't find daffodils easy to paint, perhaps because I like to give them character. They are one of my favourite flowers to grow as they herald the beginning of spring and the hope of warmer weather.
I used a bristle brush for this painting and thick paint to give texture and interest.
The support is a birch board, and I have left the sides unpainted to show the beauty of the wood grain. It is ready for hanging as it is, or it can be put into a frame if desired.
