Description
This painting is professionally framed under glass and is ready to hang.
This is an acrylic painting and it was done on high ground (and where I could park the car) on the A760 overlooking the town of Kilbirnie. The large building, just off centre is Garnock Academy, now demolished. The treatment of the sky is an example of serendipity because the rain came on suddenly and soaked my painting. I gathered up everything as quickly as I could and ran for the car, shoving the board underneath it as the quickest way of getting it out of the rain. When I looked at it back at the house it seemed that the weather had done me a favour.I liked the ‘damage’ the rain had done and so left it as was.
