Everything All Of The Time Oil

Part of a series of paintings starting with colours of randomly brushed onto the board, then by applying high and lowlights, adjusting shapes and layering until I am happy with the structure. It is a time consuming and often difficult process which can drive you mad if you are not careful but I keep returning to them because the journey is so intriguing and the results so unique and satisfying. Like much of my work they are about trying to create order out of chaos and the link between the conscious and the unconscious. The paintings are pure experimentation and so I learn a lot about my craft by doing them.
