The Wilderness Will Rejoice and Blossom Acrylic

Painted on a deep edge canvas, and therefore ready to hang, this painting has had many layers applied. With the use of paint mediums mixed with the paint the different layers are translucent and so allow the previous layers to show through the next. Most detail is seen in the texture on the surface that was applied in the base layers. The detail has then been accentuated with the use of bronze coloured paint. This painting has been inspired by Isaiah 35:1 from the Bible which speaks of parched lands being glad with springs welling up and the wilderness blossoming again.
