Description
I wanted to try painting one of my pressed leaves with a more abstract design. After I'd marked the natural veins with ink, it put me in mind of a butterfly's wing so that gave me my inspiration.
Both sides of the leaf have been protected with matte varnish.
This tiny painting has been carefully attached to a plain, black mount board with acid free double sided tape.
The leaf does not touch the glass in the white A5 box frame which can be displayed on a wall or shelf.
