Description
This is an original oil painting of the ropewalk at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Almost a quarter of a mile long, this is the only surviving ropewalk of its kind and rope is still being made here to this day using traditional methods.
This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas board. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour and protect the painting from dust, UV light and other environmental factors. The painting is provided in a complimentary handmade wooden frame which is painted white and fitted with picture wire, ready to hang. The painting is signed on the front and will be shipped with the Certificate of Authenticity.
The painting measures 20 x 16 inches (approx. 50 x 40 cm).
All paintings are professionally wrapped to ensure they arrive in perfect condition and are shipped with tracking and insurance.
