Description
The inspiration for this oil painting was the heat in the desert and the concentration of the colour ochre which represented the intensity of the relentless sun, turning the palm tree into a yellow glow. The slender trunks of the palms rose from the parched ground and defied the harshness of their surroundings. I wanted to try and capture with paint a story of survival, resilience and quiet beauty in these palm trees.
