Description

Australia is a truly amazing and remarkable country with some of the most spectacular views and scenery to be found in the world. Beautiful sunsets are a frequent phenomenon and are so striking that it is impossible for them to be taken for granted. During a recent visit however, the weather was unseasonal and a little disappointing, colder than usual for the time of year and lacking evenings graced with magnificent sunsets. Given the circumstances I felt I had no option but to paint a landscape scene which is intended to convey a little of the sheer magic and magnificence of a beautiful summer sunset.
