Yorkshire Sunflowers, floral painting Acrylic

Yorkshire Sunflowers is an acrylic painting. It is a small canvas artwork that can be a source of gift ideas for all art lovers.

I love to paint sunflowers for their vitality and beneficial impact, which is especially evident by their colour; yellows and oranges have a positive and invigorating effect on us.

While walking with Harvey (my pet) through Pontefract, I found these flowers on one windy but sunny day in late summer. I took many photographs of the flowers. These were my reference for this painting.

The background of the sunflower painting is a dark hedge. It stands in the shade, and the flowers are illuminated by the sun.

Materials: High-quality Belgian linen canvas, professional-grade acrylic paints

Size: 24 x 18 x 2 cm

Style: realism with impressionist influences

The painting is unframed, but it is ready to hang through a sawtooth bracket attached to the wooden stretcher bars on the canvas' backside. The canvas sides are painted continuously.

The second photograph shows how the artwork can be framed and displayed (however, there is no real need for any frame, it is up to you what you prefer).
