Artistic background

Hello, I'm a self taught artist who loves creating intuitive/impressionistic art. I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember.
My paintings are derived from the love I have for our magnificent world. I am passionate about our planet and everything it holds. I love the wonderful landscapes, seascapes and cosmos all around and above us. My aim is to try to bring the energy of our beautiful universe into my paintings.
In my art I use different types of media to gain the desired effects of depth and texture, including acrylic paints and inks. I love the feeling of excitement when beginning each and every new painting. When using acrylic inks I allow the paint to flow and evolve on its own for a while then work intuitively with what I see. I'm often pleasantly surprised when seeing the finished product. The many courses I have taken over the years have served me well in my practice.
My paintings are finished with an acrylic varnish and in some cases, a coating of cold wax which creates a luxurious sheen, enhances the colours and also protects the painting. I sign all my paintings on the back but if you would like my signature on the front this can be arranged.
I am careful to use all products in an environmentally safe way by making sure that everything I use in my process is recycled and disposed of in the correct manner.
