Artistic background

My art is created as a celebration of the vibrancy of life and I embrace with a passion, the good and beautiful aspects of our world. My aim is to produce work that encourages the viewer to smile and experience a moment of escape from the mundane.
I am fascinated by the way colours can influence our mood, and as we have all experienced the darker side of life, I love to use colours that uplift and cultivate feelings of joy. I wish to communicate the positive energy of life.
As a self taught artist, each piece I create either with paint or with wire, is an adventure in itself. I love each challenge and feel such gratitude when the solution reveals itself as I work. I consider myself blessed to have the desire to create within me, and whilst I have had a varied career path, my Art has been a constant since I first picked up a crayon and got plasticine stuck in the carpet.
