Artistic background

I find inspiration for my artworks from so many things. I love to notice and see all the small interesting details of real life and use them in paintings. Often the paint, colours, lines and shapes come become before the subject matter, which means I like to explore both portrait and abstraction. My portraits are nearly always coupled with playful, lively, vibrant back and foregrounds that complement or push the portrait further . I like the paint to speak for itself, to hold qualities inherently not just a medium used to represent a subject. After studying art at University many years ago I now have a studio at home in which I create the many original artworks and prints that have sold around the world. I also work on bespoke commissions in various styles.
