Artistic background

My journey as an artist began at the age of 15, when I discovered the enchanting world of photography. I was drawn in by the beauty of scenes and the intricate challenge of composition, quickly developing a deep passion for the art form. After retiring, my interests shifted toward the digital domain, where I delved into Photoshop and On1 Raw and their extensive creative potential. This exploration transformed me from a traditional photographer into a digital freehand painter, merging my love for both abstract and figurative imagery with the expansive liberty of abstract expressionism.

Presently, I focus on producing soft-edged, abstract expressionist works and Japanese-inspired nature pieces. A piece may start impulsively with a gesture on the digital canvas, leading to an intuitive process where elements are added as the artwork develops. This approach ensures that each creation is both unique and deeply personal.

I place significant emphasis on good composition. An aesthetically satisfying scene provokes an immediate emotional and visual response, fueling my artistic pursuits. The beauty I see in nature and art serves as a constant source of inspiration, compelling me to craft pieces that capture and communicate that beauty.

My technique involves a considerable amount of experimentation with Photoshop brushes and their myriad settings. This digital experimentation pushes boundaries and paves the way for new discoveries, resulting in a unique style that balances the precision of photography with the expressiveness of painting.

Through my work, I aim to evoke emotions of clam and serenity, inviting viewers to experience the same beauty and composition that initially captivated me. My artistic process is an ongoing journey, an evolving narrative formed by instinct, inspiration, and the limitless possibilities of digital media.
