FenitonArtistic background
I have been drawing and painting since I could hold a crayon. My Art developed in High School, where I was taught that "Art is eighty per cent practice and twenty per cent talent." I trained as a Heraldic artist for nearly two years and loved the detail and process. My further art studies took me to the Symondsbury School of Art, where I completed a foundation course in Fine Art. I focus mainly on colour and texture to interpret my vision of an abstract world. I have also scaled down my canvasses to work in a smaller contained format that is easier to display and visually stimulating.Quote
Less is more.Interests
I love comics and comic art, especially the darker side of DC. I also love mythology and fairy tales. Illustrators like Arthur Rackham, Rien Poortvliet, and Tove Jansson fascinate me with their diverse yet inclusive worlds. Herge, Uderzo, and Goscinny, whom I grew up with, launched me into the wonder of illustrated tales. J.R.R. Tolkien has fed my hunger for fantasy and chaos for nearly forty-five years, and I regularly return to Middle Earth for his work's sustenance.
