Artistic background

I graduated from Gloucester University at the Cheltenham school of art with a degree in fine art and history of art in 2008 I exhibit in two galleries in Hereford and Worcestershire. I have exhibited portraits at the RBSA gallery in Birmingham. I have sold for charity at auction for the Greatwood charity in Marlborough. Sold work for the Bluecross and the injured rider’s fund. Also donated to an auction for the donkey and horse sanctuary “Hope” commissions accepted. My main medium of choice is watercolour as I love the serendipitous nature of it , so exciting albeit a tad unpredictable! I use any medium though, whichever I feel suits the subject.

Interests

My main medium of choice is watercolour, though I use all manner of paint and materials. The serendipitous behaviour of Watercolour is a thrill and a challenge. my inspiration is in Movement, light, fast moving energy. Watercolour and inks by their flowing nature are the ideal mediums to use. My subjects tend to be wide and varied, though animals especially dogs and horses are my favourite. We have such a strong emotional connection with them. I especially enjoy to semi abstract the natural world. So overwhelmed and moved by everything. Creating through the medium of art is to reflect such wonder.
I love the outdoors, energetic sports such as windsurfing, mountain biking and riding horses makes one feel alive. Baking is a most agreeable pastime of mine. Another form of creativity though somewhat ephemeral to say the least!
