Artistic background

Born into a large, disadvantaged family in Antsirabe, Madagascar, Jean Ony discovered his calling for art at a young age. Jean grew up in a family of ten siblings, where economic constraints compelled him to abandon his formal education. Despite his challenging circumstances, Jean Ony took it upon himself to support his family through his artwork.

Jean Ony's artistic journey began at the age of 12 with drawing cartoons, sculpting, and creating copper toy cars. As he navigated through various art forms, he found his deepest passion in drawing and painting. Over the subsequent years, Jean Ony's artistic skills evolved, demonstrated through his numerous local, regional, and national art exhibitions.

From age 12 to his current age of 39, Jean has stayed loyal to his art, has trained many young professional artist in paintings, using impressionist, abstract, and contemporary styles as his primary mediums of expression. His undying commitment to his craft has not only provided sustenance for his family but has also allowed him to continually refine his skills and broaden his artistic boundaries.

Regardless of his successes, Jean Ony's journey hasn't been without trials. His talent and perseverance have often been overshadowed by his economic situation. However, at this stage of his career, he seeks support to amplify his artistic voice, bring further recognition to his work, and deepen his impact on the art world.
