Christopher Langley

Artistic background

Welsh artist Christopher Langley has made a significant impact on the art scene since 2012, where he launched his career in a successful debut solo exhibition at Pontypridd Museum and Gallery in June 2012.

Langley’s artwork has been featured in galleries in Cardiff, London, Newport, York and New York. During 2014 and 2015 he was recognised by International Art organisation ‘the Lumen Prize’ in the best 50 and 100 best artworks categories.

Interests

My art describes iconic Welsh landmarks such as The Newport Suspension Bridge and The Old Bridge at Pontypridd. Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of Welsh culture in abstract impressionist and expressionist styles, I celebrates the people, towns, and landscapes of Wales and beyond. Today, my works can be viewed in galleries and shops across Wales. I am a regular guest on 'Bro Radio' and I've been featured on Radio Wales and S4C TV, in addition to various print media.
