Artistic background

Originally, I painted dramatic water colours, specialising in bold flowers before discovering the absolute joy of painting large canvases with oil paint! The first thing that inspired me is colour, followed swiftly by shape. I tend to focus on highly impressionistic landscapes and vibrant abstracts, which recently, have seen the addition of pure gold leaf.
Over the years I have been awarded commendations and asked to exhibit in curated exhibitions as well as holding my own exhibitions in Cheltenham, generally with an artist friend. My large canvas oil paintings have sold around the world in places as far afield as Australia, Canada, Sweden, France, USA, Russia and of course, the UK. I do have return clients, generally when they see a new painting that compliments, or contrasts with a previous purchase from me. I have always been creative, in one way or another, but the use of colour with paint, brushes and palette knives is a constant fascination for me. My biggest client Is a Scottish lady who has a number of my paintings around her beautiful staircase and bedroom corridors.
