Andrew Shakesby

Artistic background

I was born and raised in Sunderland in the Northeast of England and spent most of my days milling around the shoreline at Seaburn and Roker swimming in the cold North Sea. My love of the ocean and the animals that lived within its depths drew me to take up Scuba Diving and underwater videography. Over the years the videography led to photography and ultimately a successful business that allowed me to share my skills as a contemporary photographer and videographer. After many years in the business ill health affected me and the decision was made to sadly close the business.

My love of photography continued in the form of landscapes, seascapes and street photography all of which can be done at my own pace and without any pressure.
