Artistic background

My only formal art training was at 'O' level where I obtained a grade 'A', apart from a dabble now and then I didn't take up any form of art until 1996 when I took watercolour lessons at my local school. I took to this and sold the odd painting, then retired from teaching and moved to France, here I started teaching watercolour classes mainly to ex-pats, but also to locals, and until the pandemic I had three classes per week, and ran an art club. I returned to UK in 2020 and only recently have resumed painting, but now paint in acrylics and oils .

Interests

My subjects are mainly natural, birds in articular but enjoy painting portraits, rusty cars and seascapes.
