Paddle Surfer From Hawaii is an original acrylic painting on gold leaf.

I fixed the gold leaf to a handmade linen canvas on the MDF board. After it was dry, around two weeks later, I painted on it using professional-grade acrylic paints. This surface makes the painting unique and alive because it interplays with light depending on the illumination angle.

The painting is varnished a few times to protect it from air pollution and UV radiation.
