Description
'Incoming Fog, Brighton'
If you spend enough time in Brighton out of the summer season you'll witness the phenomena of incoming fog. Quite literally a wall of thick fog that engulfs the entire town. Several times I've been painting a distant view on the beach on a pleasant day and within 15 minutes I can't see 50 metres. It creates quite an amazing quality of light. The West pier was cast in a faint silhouette and the sunlight washed muted reflections across the water.
