Dedham Reflections Oil

Greens and blues applied with a palette knife create an impression of a calm landscape. The trees cast long reflections on the still water. Patches of the pink underpainting peep through, adding a contrast to the cool greens.
The painting has been continued over the sides of the canvas, and a hanging cord is attached to the back, so that the painting can go directly on the wall without the need for a frame.
A satin varnish protects the surface.
