Description
Postage Stamp Collage
This picture is composed of approximately 2000 used postage stamps which are available in a huge range of colours and designs.. The stamp colours are not altered and post marks are still visible on close observation. Commercially produced heavily sanded white Acrylic paint has been used to give texture (and a hint of ’rough’ competition) to the image. This picture was created on quality deep edge canvas. It is not framed and should not be displayed in direct sunlight although all canvases are varnished twice and have a coat of U.V. protection.
Pepsi, a carbonised soft drink manufactured by Pepsi-Cola was originally created and developed as far back as 1893. It was introduced by Caleb Bradham and known as Brad’s Drink. It was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898 as it was thought to relieve dyspepsia (indigestion). It has been a rival of Coco- Cola since the late 1900s and remains so today. The name was shortened to Pepsi in 1961 but has remained a ‘Pop Art’ symbol to this day.
