The Manor Gardens. Hemingford Grey Watercolours

An impressionist watercolour painting of a beautiful old country house set in the grounds of a gorgeous garden. The gardens of this ancient house in Hemingford Grey, near St Ives, Huntingdon have had tender care for nearly 1000 years.
I wanted to impart a sense of unruliness in this painting as well as lightness and buoyancy in the riot of form and colour which throws the house and tree line into the background.
A small amount of gold and silver gouache enriches the work.
This watercolour is 11 x 16 inches, sold with a 16 x 20-inch soft white mount, and issued with a Certificate of Authenticity.
