Healing Stitches, The Weight We Carry Prints

In “Healing Stitches, Spine,” I share my intimate battle with a debilitating spinal condition that threatens to rob me of my mobility but never my spirit. This painting is a reflection of the burdens we all carry, some visible and some not, that sometimes push us to our breaking point. But here I am, standing tall in spirit, if not in spine, sharing my story with millions who face their battles with chronic back and spinal pain. It’s a testament to our collective resilience, a reminder that though we may bend, inside, we are unbreakable.

This is part of a series of paintings I created using my ipad and a program called procreate, drawing every stitch whilst in recovery myself.

Stitches” is my personal ode to the incredible journey of women, a series born from my own experiences and those of countless others who have shown remarkable strength and resolve. Celebrating women and the courage to mend ourselves in the face of adversity, each painting is a chapter of life itself. Every thread we weave into the canvas represents our experiences—sometimes forming a beautiful quilt, other times leaving a lasting scar. This series is for all of us, a tribute to the art of mending and persevering, inspired by the stories of women who keep going, no matter what.
