Description
The Corran Ferry, provides a link between Ardgour and Nether Lochaber, crossing Loch Linne at the Corran Narrows. The weather on the day we crossed was changeable and the cloud can just be seen clearing from the mountains in the distance.
In this painting, I wanted to capture the effect of the sun emerging after a shower of rain and reflecting on the clouds drifting through the valley. This creates a backdrop for the trees in the middle ground on the left of the piece ,bringing them into sharp relief. As the cloud disperses toward the right they become less distinct, merging into the mountains behind.
This painting has been executed in oils and coated with one coat of varnish to enhance colour and protect from dust. It is supplied framed and will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
