Description

I used the technique here as perfected by Gerhard Richter, whereby oils are applied to the canvas with squeegy and palette knife in layers and scraped back while applying further layers .Paint is picked up by the squeegy and deposited in other areas of the canvas thus creating different colour juxtapositions,forms and shapes.I wanted to evoke the dazzling almost mesmerising effect of being out in nature in a snowstorm.
