Description
I enjoy the work of Gerhard Richter and his use of squeegy and palette knife to apply oils to the canvas. By using different layers of paint ,scraping back and applying more layers you can achieve some interesting effects. The squeegy will pick paint from one part of the canvas and deposit it in another area ,creating some vibrant effects ,with different forms and shapes .Texture and impasto feature strongly in this work. Some of the firms and colours appear almost by accident.
