Lauren's soup! Acrylic

Framed by me, the artist, this piece is ready to hang.

I painted this with acrylic paints around 15 years ago and it shows my daughter Lauren sitting on the couch with a bowl of soup. The initial drawing was aided by a photo I had taken at the time but when I use photos I find that, in my case, the photo is generally of use at the start and when the essential drawing dimensions are achieved I tend to proceed without the photo. That is definitely the case with this painting. As is often the case with me, this painting has been amended on more than one occasion and, in fact, the last changes I made to it were in 2023.
