Grazing on the Canterbury Plain Photograph

Sheep grazing on the pastures of the Canterbury Plain in the early evening light below Mount Thomas in the foothills of the Southern Alps. This was one of several photographs originally taken as part of a series of reference images for potential painting subjects while on a gap year traveling. This particular photograph was taken in early March 1989 on film stock during a four and a half month trip to both the North and South Islands, an image that just says New Zealand to me.

Printed by Kernow Fine Art in Cornwall, each print comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered on the front in pencil together with the image title.
