Description

There is a well known, well loved gateway on Iona in Scotland. This gate bars the path which enticingly leads off into the distance and the sea. Much of my painting whether landscape or still life has within it a focus on dramatic light, contrasts and quite often shadows.
This image to me exudes calm and beautiful blue light and has a dreamlike quality which first inspired me to paint it. Oh did I mention atmospherics?
